I finally found a breakthrough with battling the bulge! I tried many different diets from Adkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, low carb, no carb, you name it. In November of 2010 I was told about MODEL Health & Weight Management Center, by my Endocrinologist. I have Hypothyroidism and Metabolic Syndrome. I was told I was pre-diabetic, my blood pressure and cholesterol were elevated, and I would need medication very soon. I am 30 years old and have so much to live for. I knew I needed to take care of my body not just for myself, but for my two daughters, and my husband.
I started HMR on November 18th, 2010, and remember saying “this is going to work for me”. I love the oatmeal and the shakes are awesome. I had my favorites with the entrees as well! I was satisfied and never had that starving feeling. I always felt full! I lost 20 lbs in the first 5 weeks. I am on my 16th week and have lost a total of 37 lbs. It is a lifestyle change. I thought that I didn’t eat that much throughout the day, only to realize that I was over eating.
